Veterinarians and Maggot Therapy

Medical grade maggots are used to treat and manage wounds in a procedure known as “maggot therapy.” Medicinal Maggots™ are indicated for debriding (“cleaning”) chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, neuropathic foot ulcers and non-healing traumatic or post surgical wounds.

In the United States, Medicinal Maggots are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration as a prescription only medical device.
